British designer Victoria Beckham partners with ghd to create 90s SLICKED GRUNGE.

The 90s are back!

The textured, lived-in look is here to stay. As seen at Victoria Beckham SS23 show in Paris, hair was styled by Duffy and his team with individual attitude in mind, creating an effortless gritty look that echoes the grunge of the '90s.

The grunge look is one of our favourites because it's so easy to achieve and makes you feel like a rockstar. We love how this look can be adapted to any hair length or texture—short or long and wavy or straight—and it's a great way to add volume if your hair is fine or thin.

In partnership with ghd, hair stylist Duffy and his team created a grungy, 90s inspired hair look full of attitude that is easy to recreate at home using the ghd tools and wetline products..

“Thehair look this season is celebrating the individuality and uniqueness of the girls, rooted in 90s cool. ghd is my go -to styling brand, which is why we’ve partnered together for 6 season so far . I always have the ghd unplugged in my handbag for touch ups when I’m on the go, and backstage at fashion week I can rely on ghd to create versatile hair looks to celebrate the girls' individual style,” says Victoria Beckham

“The inspiration behind the look this season was to celebrate individuality rooted in 90s cool. Attitude played a huge part of the process with each girls' individual strengths as the starting point for each style. It's all about embracing natural texture and focusing on the silhouette rather than the detail," says Duffy.

PREP

“I started by using the the ghd bodyguard heat protect spray (RRP £18.00) to protect and prep the hair. Not only does this help provide essential protection from any heat applied it also helps direct the hair away from the face when dried."

DRY

“I used the ghd helios professional hairdryer (RRP £159.00) to dry the hair section by section hair, working to ensure the the hair is directedto sit flat back against the head."

STYLE

“I used the ghd unplugged cordless hair straightener (RRP £299.00) and the ghd thin wand (RRP £139.00) to put loose bends in the hair. We wanted to accentuate the natural movement of each girl’s characteristic curls and individual textures. Using unplugged enabled us to create incredible soft, delicate movement as well as very vibrant voluminous textures to match each girl's personality and style."

FINISH

“I finished the look with the ghd shiny ever after shine spray (RRP £15.95) to create a sheen across thehair, and heavily applied the ghd dramatic ending serum (RRP £18.95)for a grungy wetlook finish that was iconic in the 90s."
