The Fashion Awards: Our Favourite Looks and BTS!

Florence Pugh, Naomi Campbell and Rita Ora - Fashion Awards photo's @davebenett

The Fashion Awards are over, but we're not done with you yet.

The evening, hosted by British and Jamaican actress Jodie Turner-Smith, celebrated twenty-three awards including fifteen Leaders of Change—all of which were voted for by an international judging panel made up of over 1000 industry experts.

We were on the red carpet to see who made the best dressed list this year, plus the glam squad’s that helped to create the looks!

The British Fashion Awards are a night of glamour and elegance, where the most stylish and fashionable people in the industry come together to celebrate each other's accomplishments. What better way to make an entrance than being swathed in a custom look created just for you?

Rita Ora hit the carpet at the British Fashion Awards in a red sheer floor-length gown by her favourite designer, Nensi Dojaka. The Albanian-born designer has been making waves in the fashion world with her unique and beautiful designs. Her work caught Rita's eye, and she sought out the designer for this year's awards show.

Rita wanted to have something that was subtle but interesting, something that would give off a "can't stop looking vibe." The result: an underwater planet creature that showed off Rita's gills!

What could be better than walking into the room and taking everyone's breath away?

Rita's look was inspired by the sea, a neutral palette that evoked the ocean's cool depths. She wanted to be from an underwater planet, so Isamaya Ffrench kept her skin like glass and gave her smudged soft eye makeup and stained red lips for a subtle but interesting look. The highlight of the look were prosethic gills applied in a cresecent formation around Rita's eyes. The gills were transparent, giving the illusion that she has gills like a fish. Genius!

Her nails were clear acrylic with water droplet pearls and silver accents.

To complete Rita's look, we gave her a sea salt-textured beach wave with perfectly wet-look edgy's, coifed to perfection.

We've never seen anything like it before, and we cannot wait to see what Rita does next! #dreamteam

The stars have aligned for Mia.

The starlet has been in the spotlight for some time now, but with her new shorter, blonder, and more textured haircut, she's ready to take on the world in a whole new way. And we couldn't be happier for her.

Mia's transformation was made possible by the team at Larry King hair salon, styling for event Larry King, assisted by @itshasansahin using my @dysonhairpro @lillibridgerrr always create’s the most incredible haircuts and @harrietmuldoon for giving Mia her fresh elevated colour. The team went for the edgy Pixie Mullet complimented by a platinum blonde with a root, to show off Mia’s confidence and youthful style.

Mark Fast dressed Mia in this stunning mini dress with feathers. The dress was a gorgeous fit on the red carpet and made Mia look like the star she is on it—and we can't wait to see what other looks this partnership creates!

Mia Regan @mimimoocher created an amazing video getting ready for the 2022 Fashion Awards over on @britishvogue this was her incredible transformation.

Adut Akech couldn't say no when London-based fashion designer Nensi Dojaka offered to make her a custom look for this year's Fashion Awards.

"She's such a cool, fresh designer," says the South Sudanese-Australian supermodel. "I've never worked with her before, and I was excited this could be our first partnership – I love her work."

Dojaka's designs are known for their bold use of colour and texture and when she heard that Akech would be attending the awards show, she knew she had to make something special for her.

It was a night of glitz and glamour as the Royal Albert Hall welcomed Adut Akech to the stage.

As a fashion designer, Nensi has always been about breaking the rules.

She's never been one to follow the crowd, and her latest collection is no exception. Adut's bespoke look is realised in white and features new techniques that Nensi has explored in recent collections. Rather than creating a conventional red-carpet gown, she made Adut a corset made of tulle and sequins and a chiffon skirt with an elongated train and she looked incredible as it lay on the steps of the venue. Her white gown was accompanied by matching white graphic eyeliner, fresh skin and glossy neutral lips. Subtle crystals added to her look not only under her lower lash line but also on her freshly manicured nails. Her braided long hair twisted up onto the crown drapped into a long, high ponytail, it was divine.

I’ve never felt so incredulous about a dress - Paloma Faith

The red carpet at the British Fashion Awards was a sight to behold, it was a wash with swathes of stars that made us gasp.

Another of our favourite looks of the evening was Paloma

Paloma Faith is always a stunner—she has such a commanding presence on stage and in front of the camera. It was great to see her in her new dark red purdy bob (courtesy of her hairstylist Louis) and the archives of Sam McKnight Paloma dressed in Iris Van Herpen looked spectacular and said 'she felt like a sea dwelling creature.'

A Dream Come True: Supermodel Elsa Wears Her Dream Custom @miumiu

We love to see behind the scenes—and what a highlight it was to see Elsa's look created by her glam squad.

Kelly applied this 90's-inspired makeup with winged eyeliner and nude lip, and Luke created this gorgeous editorial beehive up do for the red carpet.

Elsa is a beauty icon. She's always been one of those people who knows how to stand out while still being herself, and her style is bold, glamorous and fun.

We were excited to see how Elsa would interpret the new Miu Miu crystalized buckled two piece at this year's event—and she did not disappoint! The look fit perfectly with Elsa's custom Miu Miu crystalized buckled two piece and dazzled at the event.
