Sephora is returning to London with Flagship and E-Commerce!!

Sephora is breaking into the UK market for the second time, and we're ready to get our beauty fix!

It’s official: Sephora is coming back to the UK and has just launched it’s e-commerce platform.

The beauty retailer has announced its acquisition of beauty e-tailer FeelUnique for a whopping £132 million, and with that purchase comes a new domain name: Sephora.co.uk. The switch took place yesterday (17th October), and then in spring 2023 Sephora will open its first UK flagship store in London.

Sephora’s arrival has been hotly anticipated for years, so the news that it’s finally happening is sure to spark excitement among UK beauty lovers everywhere!

Chief Executive and Chair of Sephora, Chris de Lapuente, says: ‘We are delighted to bring Sephora to the UK, responding to Britain’s strong demand for our unique prestige beauty experience… The UK is home to a dynamic beauty and wellbeing market that Sephora will aim to surprise and delight through our trademark know how and creativity. Our passionate team cannot wait to serve and inspire UK customers under the Sephora brand.’

It's been over two years since Sephora customers in the UK have been able to shop their favourite beauty brands, and we're so excited that this is finally happening. The LVMH-owned beauty concept store originally launched in the UK in 2000 with six stores, but withdrew within five years due to soaring rents and its inability to compete with the likes of Superdrug and Boots. Then, in 2014 the company announced UK shipping which was then halted in 2018 due to GDPR rules.

But now things are looking up for Sephora lovers in Britain: "Sephora is a brand that can thrive on different continents (and) stores will always remain the purest expression of our brand." says Sylvie Moreau, president for Europe and the Middle East.

Sephora is the world’s leading beauty retailer, with over 2,000 stores in 29 countries.

It has been 18 years since Sephora first arrived on the UK high-street and there has never been a better time for it to return. With an already established presence online and through its own stores around the world, Sephora is well placed to take advantage of the booming beauty market in the UK.

We can’t wait for the London store to open, but for now we are happy to be able to shop online Sephora.co.uk
