The Conscious Edit Pop-up Opening Night With Guest Speaker Arizona Muse
We're not going to lie: we're pretty excited about the launch of The Conscious Edit pop-up store from Lone Design Club, in partnership with The Crown Estate.
The store is all about sustainable brands, and it's located on 84-86 Regent Street in London. It's open now until October 14th, so you've got plenty of time to get there if you're in London!
The evening began with an introduction to the store’s message from The Crown Estate’s Leanne Catterall, who then passed it over to the panel to discuss the challenges in the industry, making an impact and the small steps we can all take toward a greener future for people and the planet.
The panel featured Arizona Muse (model, activist and founder of DIRT charity), Sara Vaughan (innovator positive change maker and creator of brands and companies with purpose) and Rebecca Morter (Founder CEO of disruptive omnichannel). Moderated by Amy Nguyen (Sustainability researcher contributor Forbes The Times), they discussed how they each met their own challenges in creating more sustainable products while making sure that they are still accessible.
At The Conscious Edit, it’s all about luxury without the guilt. They believe that you deserve to look good and feel good too. That's why they are committed to offering products that are kinder to the planet and your wallet. Services include a repair zone where you can have your pre-loved items refurbished by Sojo, and a customisation zone where you can make your own unique pieces from scratch.
They also understand that having an ethical wardrobe isn't always easy—that's why they have partnered up with Whering, the app that helps users digitize their wardrobes and truly appreciate the gems they already own. And if all of these options aren't enough for you, they even have an entire rental zone in partnership with Rotaro highlighting beautiful garments available on the rental and resale markets.
We're so excited about all these new initiatives we wanted to share this with the FrontRowPro community, check it out today, what is there not to love! Go and make your pledge for the future of our planet…
Amy Nguyen says “The launch of The Conscious Edit onto Regent Street signals the start of a critical shift towards more responsible patterns of consumption in the fashion industry and beyond. Aligning our spending to our values has never been more important.
The ability to unite innovators and creators championing environmental and social sustainability in this space is a testament to the LDC community’s hard work and purpose-driven mission.
Last night, it was great to bring together Sara, Arizona and Rebecca as thought-leaders and inspirational women in this space to discuss how we can all use our platforms and voices to make an impact and champion change”.
